Eagles XI dismantle Uganda in one-sided T20 rout in Namibia

Louren Steenkamp's explosive 82 off 52 balls set the stage, but Uganda's collapse in the chase told the real story. Eagles XI's 169 proved way too much on a surface that offered nothing to the batsmen, and Uganda's batsmen never found their footing.

Steenkamp took guard early and went after the bowling from ball one. He stitched 65 runs with Nicol Loftie-Eaton (30 off 22), who provided the aggression at the top while his partner milked the boundaries. Eagles XI reached 169 despite some disciplined bowling from Ruben Trumpelmann, who finished with 2/7 — a rare highlight in a day to forget for Uganda's attack.

When Uganda came out to chase, nothing went right. Juma Miyagi and Cosmas Kyewuta suffocated them with line and length. Anas Baig tried to stick around with 19 off 28, but the rest of the order fell apart. Simon Ssesazi's cameo of 14 off 9 came too late. Miyagi claimed three wickets, and by the time Kyewuta finished his spell, Uganda had already surrendered. The visitors were bowled out for 71 in just 16.5 overs — a comprehensive defeat that spoke volumes about the gap in quality on the day.
