Uganda's Powerplay Ruthlessness Broke Eagles XI's Grip

Eagles XI scored 34 runs off Zane Green's 15-ball assault in the middle overs, yet Uganda hunted down 137 in 18 overs. That gap tells the story: Uganda's opening pair refused to panic chase, while Eagles XI's death bowling leaked runs when it mattered most.

The first turning point came in the powerplay. Uganda's openers attacked without recklessness, accumulating 50 runs in the first six overs while losing no wickets. Eagles XI's seamers—typically reliable in Namibian conditions—couldn't find the yorker lengths that strangle T20 chases. By the time Uganda reached halfway, they needed just 68 off 10 overs. The pressure reversed entirely.

The second moment arrived in overs 15–18. Riazat Ali Shah (40 off 32) steadied when edges threatened to go to hand, and Gerald (39 off 31) rotated strike with clinical efficiency. Eagles XI's slower bowlers lost their way, offering width at death when they should have cramped the stumps. One boundary too many in the 18th over ended it. Uganda won with two overs spare and three wickets left—they never had to go after it.

Green's 34 off 15 briefly suggested Eagles XI might post 160-plus. They didn't. Weak death batting (6 runs off the final over) cost them 15–20 runs, the exact margin of defeat.
