Brazil Steal Show in Mexico Chase, Clinch T20 Thriller in 11 Overs

Brazil turned the Mexico tri-series on its head with a stunning chase, overhauling 113 in just 11.2 overs to win by seven wickets. What looked like a gritty Mexico total of 112/9 proved no obstacle once Luis Morais walked in swinging.

Mexico's innings never found rhythm. Amir Butt anchored with 28 off 20 balls, and Dhananjaya Panda chipped in 27 off 24, but the middle order crumbled under tight bowling. Gurpreet Singh Matharu was the wrecker, claiming 3 for 14 with disciplined line bowling in the powerplay. Mexico's batters fell short of partnerships, gifted their wickets away when pressure mounted, and finished 10 runs light.

Brazil's reply was clinical brutality. Morais came out swinging — 59 off just 30 deliveries with a strike rate that made Mexico's bowlers look pedestrian. He struck three fours and four sixes before a partnership with Luiz Muller (38 off 21) sealed the chase by the 12th over. Mexico's bowling attack — without penetration or variation — couldn't capitalise on the one-match format's constraints. Dhananjaya Panda's 0 for 6 proved expensive; no one else stepped up.

This wasn't a collapse. Brazil simply executed powerplay aggression to perfection. By the time Mexico realised the danger, the game was already gone.
