Ghana vs Seychelles: Can Seychelles Counter Ghana's Batting Firepower on 24 March?

Ghana will bank on Amusan Mahmood to set the tone with the new ball and orchestrate their powerplay assault. The right-hander has been Ghana's most consistent run-getter in qualifier cricket, averaging above 32 and striking at nearly 130. Seychelles' bowling attack must bowl tight lines and avoid short balls outside off stump—Mahmood feasts on width and punishes anything straying down leg. They need their opening bowlers to dry up runs in the first six overs and build pressure through dot balls.

For Seychelles, all-rounder Glody Dube emerges as their key player. Batting at number 4, Dube provides crucial middle-order stability and can accelerate in the death overs. More importantly, he offers Ghana's batsmen a different problem—left-arm orthodox bowling that can tie down the aggressive batsmen. If Dube can pick one or two wickets early in Ghana's innings, Seychelles have a chance to disrupt the run flow.

Ghana arrives as clear favourites given their recent form in African T20 qualifiers, but Seychelles cannot be dismissed lightly. The match hinges on whether Ghana's top order—led by Mahmood—can dominate the powerplay, or whether Seychelles bowl intelligently enough to restrict them. Dube's all-round contribution will decide how competitive Seychelles can make this contest.
